Ah, another $5.00 cd for the Wal-Mart bin. Really liked these boys.

I saw them when they opened for Cheap Trick (July 21, 1979 - Met Center, Bloomington, Minnesota) and they literally got chased off the stage. I swear, people were throwing beer cups at them until they left the stage. I almost felt bad for them, but they really weren't that good at the time. I think it was their style of music. The world wasn't ready for them in 1979. That changed a few years later.

I hope the 7" remix and video version of "One In A Million" will make it to CD one day. :sigh:

Mark, I saw them for the first time at the Agora Ballroom in Tampa in '81 I believe. They did OK.

I also saw them again in Seaside Heights, NJ in the mid 80's. They were filming a Budweiser beer commercial with the cameras panning into the crowd. (I wonder if I ever was in it). :-o

All in all they were good straight forward rock band who had some good MTV exposure and videos.

Being from Michigan, they felt like a local band, I saw them live a few time in the 1980s and enjoyed them whether they were a headliner, or the band playing in the afternoon at classic car show. :?

Many of their albums are oop, they seem like an ideal candidate for a complete albums collection. But what I would really like is a collection of rarities including all their great 12" mixes. :ohyes:

Yeah, I echo the sentiment about the 12 inch remixes. Love to get these all in one place.

There was a reissue program of their albums on the Collectors Vinyl replica on CD. I have two of these, I felt they were overly compressed and mastered too loud but that's just me.
