Mad Beatnik is the sophomore album from Ed Roth, featuring a host of renowned musicians, including 3-time Grammy winning saxophonist Tom Scott, as well as Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy winning drummer, Chad Smith, and Az Yet vocalist, Tony Grant. The album also features Rock Deadrick on percussion, James Manning and Andrew Ford on bass, Linda Taylor and Joe Calderon on guitars and Mitch Manker on trumpet and horns.

"This is a truly organic album," notes Roth. "There is no programming, no midi, no sequencing, no beat detective, and no auto tune. Every keyboard instrument is real -- acoustic pianos, electric pianos, clavinets, or analog keyboards, and you can feel it. All real instruments, drums, sax, trumpet, percussion, guitar, trombone, and electric bass or keyboard bass...and you certainly feel that too."

As a Music Director, Ed Roth tours with Sophie B. Hawkins, Shuggie Otis, and is a member of Chad Smith's funk party band, Bombastic Meatbats. Roth has also toured with Annie Lennox, Mya, Coolio, Brothers Johnson, among many others, and is endorsed by Roland and QSC.
