Description
It is no secret that the Santana catalog is one of the most diverse and richest in musicianship, artistry and song choice. Marathon adds to this successful list, which also netted the band several hit singles including You Know That I Love You and the rock radio staple All I Ever Wanted. Friday Music is very pleased to offer the wonderful Santana Marathon once again. This 30th Anniversary Edition comes with wonderful new remastering, the original art elements and all of the great musical moments from this classic album as you remember them.

Tracklist
1. Marathon
2. Lightning In The Sky
3. Aqua Marine
4. You Know
5. That I Love You
6. All I Ever Wanted
7. Stand Up/Runnin
8. Summer Lady
9. Love
10. Stay (Beside Me)
11. Hard Times

odd choice, isn't it, considering the depth of the santana catalog, i understand the 30th anniversary and all that, but no bonus tracks and and an album didn't really sell all that well the first time around, at least i don't think it did?

I have this; it was done back in 2009.

Sound quality is good; pretty much sounds the same as before.

I love this album and it did well going Gold and making the Top 25.

"You Know That I Love You" was a Top 40 hit and "All I Ever Wanted" was a big radio hit and one of my favorite Santana tunes-just a totally kick-ass Hard Rock song with hooks.

"Aqua Marine" is a beautiful instrumental and is on quite a few comps.

What I'm wondering is if Legacy will EVER remaster the rest of the catalogue (Friday did 3 of these latter-day albums) and do a Complete Albums box which is long overdue...

This is a band who could use a real comprehensive box.

agreed, the santana box set that did come out years ago was only 3 CD's and was not very well done at all IMO.

Agree Renny. We need at least 5 and better re-mastering.

Viva Santana (1988) was only 2 CDs and did a better job than Dance of the Rainbow Serpent (1995) which is OK, but is only 3 CDs and leaves way too much space on each CD making it a relative joke.

Legacy hasn't really done squat in years.
