Now that the physical product is winding down there are still some artists that deserve/us their fans deserve a career retrospective of their material - I was shocked to see that the Sensational Alex Harvey Band is going to get such a box set - all his stuff - before he was "famous", the SAHB golden era and the post era with b-sides, rarities - kinda a perfect set.

Some artists are still in need of such a collection

Maria Muldaur - I'd love to see her box (no pun intended)
Homer & Jethro - could anyone be more perfect for a Bear Family box?
Leon Russell - that could be very interesting
David Bromberg - I am sure there has to be a lot of unreleased stuff
Dave Clark 5 - if only Mr Clark would agree
Daddy Cool
NRBQ

The following would be nice but I think everything is released - nothing left
Professor Longhair
Hound Dog Taylor
Canned Heat
Lovin Spoonful

I also like the ZFT to release a complete Hot Rats session box, the Complete Roxy shows, The Complete winter 76 NYC run, The complete Petite Wazoo Tour, the Complete88 tour and the original 12 record set

Robin Trower - surprised this never happened. Tho recent reissues have included b-sides and some really great archival live recordings.

Blood Sweat & Tears - zero attention paid to this group anymore. Probably why no box. Certainly deserving.

Maynard Ferguson - again, surprised this never happened.

walter,

there is/was a 10cc box set, (pretty sure it's now OOP) but it really wasn't all that good. if i recall correctly it was called "tenology".

R.E.M.- They really need a box with all their B-sides, soundtrack recordings, various artists tribute comp tracks, etc.
Beastie Boys- collecting everything, all remixes and sundry tracks

This year is 30th anniversary of a short blurb in Rolling Stone's Random Notes. It said that Neil was working on Decade 2. I loved Decade 1 and was looking forward to the 2nd volume. Of course Decade 2 has morphed into the mostly non-appearing Archives Bullshit as Renny so accurately puts it.

Renny, a complete Prince rarities box would probably be somewhere between 100-300 cd's! And that's just studio.

I loved Decade. I'm also quite fond of Archives (other then the pre-Buf Spring crap); due to it really being cream of the crop in awesome sound.

I'd really like to see an official digital release of the Journey Through The Past 2 LP set; apparently I hold that in higher regard than Neil does.

I'm mostly interested in rarities boxes at this point; though the Mosaic Jazz boxes are (almost) always wonderful

Bruce Cockburn - rarities only

David Bowie - "rarities" ONLY; (I've got most of his output, but other then mix cd's, it's scattered between tons of official releases & a few grey area ones)
They could also do an unreleased Bowie live multitrack box; there are a ton of professionally recorded shows only on boot

Duke Ellington - Unreleased 50's & 60's CBS material

Dan Fogelberg - Unreleased 70's material; live & studio

Wendy Waldman (most of her catalog is oop again; & what's been released on cd is horribly mastered. I'd like to see all 5 Warner releases, the CBS album, her songs from Bryndle & the Refugees, & her 2 rarities cdr's in 1 place; + I know there is at least 1 pro recorded Ebbets Field show)

It didn't have bonus or unreleased BUT the sound was the best yet and the DVD performances was almost worth the price in itself.
