UK COLLECTORS' BOX SET The last step to conclude UK's storied career is to produce the definite CD collection, to include the highest fidelity versions of U.K., Danger Money, Night After Night and Reunion, along with the complete story of UK - with photos from my archives; plus a recording of the legendary Penn's Landing concert (with Bruford and Holdsworth); a piano/guitar UK music book, and additional bonus materials, as available. I have recorded a video, now available on the Video page, describing the project in more detail and asking for your participation.
Once again, I will be producing this definitive collection with no involvement or funding from any record company or other investors, so I have decided to try the crowd-funding approach - a natural extension of the original concept behind the Zealots Lounge. True to my usual form, rather than using the established funding sites such as Kickstarter, PledgeMusic etc., I have started my own, which I am calling Z-Funder.
The Penn's Landing, Philadelphia 1978 show is included. This was my very first rock concert. It was a free show right along the river, and the crowd was enormous. Show was broadcast live on local radio station WIOQ. A band called Triton opened. I recall a warehouse catching fire nearby and smoke blowing across the stage and over the crowd!

Bump: We have a general release listing in the first post now. Amazon's initial price is higher than ordering directly from Jobson, but let's keep an eye on this.

I scrolled through this thread a bit quickly and — sorry! — my original comment here repeated what was already said above regarding his site having a much cheaper pre-order price than either Amazon or Amazon.uk. Since I can't delete this, I'll just say: wow! Amazing collection and glad to hear that he specifically mentions the final disc of odds and ends will include the non-album b-side, "When Will You Realize."

Snagged via amazon! Can't wait for this. The first UK album has always been on my desert island top ten. During their 1978 shows they played tunes that eventually ended up on both Danger Money, and Bruford's One of a Kind (another of my desert island top ten). And bringing in Bozzio on drums for thee second album was a great choice (he was Jobson's band mate in Zappa's 1976 bands).

Just FYI, the shipping in the US on Jobson's site is $20 via USPS, and there was no tax charged when I tested placing an order, so $140 total. Since it's over $35, the shipping on Amazon is free, although they do charge tax (at last for California residents), so they are indeed pretty close in price. Given Amazon doesn't charge until the item ships, placing an order there might be the best/safest plan since there's no indication as to how limited this will be. Hopefully the price might drop a little bit more before the April release.
EDIT UPDATE: Boy, this is getting interesting! A new announcement on Jobson's site [http://www.zealotslounge.com/ejs-notes]. I wonder if it might change given Amazon's new lower price. I posted that very question in their forum, and since there is no contact info for the store, also asked if they charge you now or when the item actually ships:
"Globe Music has entered into a new distribution deal with Alliance Entertainment for all future releases, including the Ultimate Collector's Edition UK box set which is now scheduled for an April 12th release date. The recommended retail price set by Alliance and reflected in Amazon's current pricing is $169.99. As it is not legally appropriate for me to undercut the retailers, we must raise the price on the now-public Zealots Lounge to $160.00, plus shipping, starting on Friday February 12th."

The wording in that makes me wonder if Alliance will turn around and instruct Amazon to raise the price again -- IOW not allow them to discount it further -- so we should lock in Amazon's current pre-order price right away.

I got in at $120 and hope this doesn't mean I need to pay more thru Jobson's website. I would hope that ordering from him directly would ensure I get a copy (as this has to be a limited edition).

Maybe JohnG can help me out here but I recall there was a disclaimer acceptance upon pre-order one was committed to the order. John, do you remember that? Meaning are we locked in w/o credit return if cancelled. There was some kind of stipulation.
