My 2016 date card is getting filled quite nicely:

Lazarus (a David Bowie play in NYC)
Puddles (a singing clown sensation from YouTube)
The Musical Box
MUSE
Def Leppard/ Styx
Black Sabbath
Steven Wilson
Donny Osmond (in Atlantic City)
David Gilmour (twice)
Brit Floyd
GHOST
Abba The Concert
The Cure
Journey/ Doobie Brothers
Coldplay
Heart/ Cheap Trick/ Joan Jett
Black Sabbath (again this time at Jones Beach)
Sting/ Peter Gabriel
Adele
Marillion

Not too shabby and I haven't even really tried yet. :)

After ending my year on December 30 with Dead & Company, I already have tickets for the following-

1/8 Patti Smith performing Horses
2/11 Super Furry Animals
2/13 Wild Honey Presents the Wild Honey Orchestra & Guests performing Beach Boys 1967-1977
2/20 The Musical Box (Selling England By The Pound show)
4/2 Field Music
4/22-4/24 Coachella (my 13th year!)
5/22 The Cure

As of now, I passed on Elvis Costello and Bruce Springsteen shows, but that could change.

Elvis Costello's solo acoustic shows have been outstanding and sometimes have rare song choices. You should reconsider.

I've seen him do quite a few solo shows, and they are always among the best Costello shows I've seen. I was really trying to save money on performers I've seen as much as Costello (30+ times), but I also know the theater he plays at has been releasing last minute tickets so I'm sure I won't be able to resist then,

We attended the David Bowie inspired play/ musical called Lazarus today at the NYTW in lower Manhattan and it was really something else. Real raw theater with actors like Michael C Hall (Dexter) and Cristin Miliotti (Fargo, Once) just feet away from us. Based on the Man Who Fell To Earth, it has numerous Bowie songs sung by the cast including This Is Not America/ Absolute Beginners/ The Man Who Sold The World/ Is There Life On Mars/ Heroes and some new songs from his upcoming album Blackstar.

2 hours of intense acting that you will not see on the TV or at the movies.

Wednesday night it's The Musical Box recreating the famous Black Show from 1974 with songs from Selling England By The Pound at The Theater At Westbury.

The Musical Box was stellar last night....the recreation of a Peter Gabriel show from 1974 is uncanny ...the guy is that good!
And we got The Knife as an encore too!

Tonight I'm seeing Moon Tooth with my son right here in Amityville. Our neighbor Nick Lee is the lead guitarist of this personal project. Usually he is the lead guitarist for the metal band RIOT. Should be a fun night with friends and neighbors. :)

Contemplating seeing a tribute band called Holy Holy this Sunday night in Huntington. It's a Tony Visconti project that honors David Bowie as Tony has been instrumental in Bowie's sound over many years. The fact that David suddenly died while this band has been on tour makes the evening extra special. A real chance to honor Bowie with not only personnel that worked with David but to be around fans that loved Bowie!

I couldn't imagine more than 30 minutes, but Puddles is awesome and has a great voice.

He does comedy too, had the audience in stitches. It was a wonderful 2 hour show highlighted by his awesome voice. He does a Bowie tribute online. I love his version of Lorde's "Royals".

I'm also thinking of seeing Joe Lynn Turner at a very local club.
