Don't have this recording, but seeing as how I've seen them at Massey Hall, I can't recommend this enough. If you're a fan of Canadian Rock, Country Rock, or just good song writing, pick it up.

I got a free copy when I bought tickets to the Vancouver show that's in a couple weeks. I was actually pleased with the track listing, because there were quite a few songs they hadn't released live versions of before, either on Just Like A Vacation or Blue Road. Really, REALLY love this version of Disappear, which was the best part of the otherwise weak Tremolo album.

The thing i especially loved about 5 Days in May (which I think is there best song) was the guitar solo. The studio version is wonderful, except for a lame attempt at a Neil Young style solo. That isn't the case here, the guitar SMOKES on that song.

I've been amazed by every live version I've ever heard of Diamond Mine. This next show will be my sixth time seeing them, and it's always the song I look forward to the most. I love how Greg sings the last line of the chorus, "like a diamond mine" just a little bit faster than he did on the record, and it makes it just that much more immediate. I saw them once with the late James Gray on keys and once with Bob Packwood, but the last three times have been with Mike Boguski, and that guy is flipping amazing on the organ solo. Easily the best fit for the band since Bobby Wiseman left.

I only saw them once (5 Days in may tour), & unfortunately I had never heard them before I saw them. I did get to go back stage, one of my friends was friends with one of the band members (I don't remember which one; in fact I was pretty drunk, I don't remember much about the concert, either!)
I must have liked it alot, as I'm very close to full catalog on BR.

Give credit to their new lead guitarist, Colin Cripps, who has been part of The Jim Cuddy Band for close to 20 years. They brought him in because Greg Keelor has hearing problems and doesn't play electric anymore.
