The lead singer of the classic rock band Steely Dan was busted Monday for allegedly shoving his wife into a marble window frame — and now she’s filing for divorce.

Donald Fagen, 67, was in a verbal dispute with Libby Fagen, 69, when he grabbed her by the arms and pushed her to the ground, police said.

“I don’t feel good,” Libby told The Post when reached by phone. “I’m very tired and I’m divorcing my husband.”

Donald allegedly shoved her “by placing his hands on her arms and rapidly extending his arms in the direction of said frame, causing her to fall onto the frame and suffer bruising and swelling to her right arm, as well as substantial pain,” according to the criminal complaint.

The alleged assault happened at 5:30 p.m. inside the couple’s Upper East Side apartment on East 92nd Street, court papers show.

Libby suffered a bruised arm with a raised bump, police said.

Donald was arraigned Tuesday morning in Manhattan Criminal Court on one count each of assault and harassment. He was released without bail. An order of protection was issued in favor of his wife.

Donald co-founded Steely Dan and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.

Libby is also a successful singer and songwriter best known for the folk-rock album “Libby Titus” produced by music legends Paul Simon and Carly Simon.

I've heard she wants the Chargers dropped but the divorce may still be going forward. These days any physical contact will result in an arrest even if both parties don't want an arrest. Even if one party takes the remote, throws it across the room and damage it, is an arrest.
Hopefully they both find a peaceful resolution.

I was amused to read that like my wife and I, Donald and Libby went to college together, but never actually met until about 20 years later.

Charges dropped...but you won't see that being reported as voraciously or prominently as the arrest was...

Obviously, I don't know what Fagen is like off stage and what goes on in his daily life, but I have a feeling there's something we're not being told.
