This year I got on cd Nate Ruess's The Grand Romantic
Girl Meets World's Sabrina Carpenter's Eyes Wide Open
Celine Dion's These Are Special Times
My Morning Jacket's The Waterfall
and The Rolling Stones' Sticky Fingers Deluxe Edition
as well as the Christian film Courageous on DVD
and last but not least Miley Cyrus's So Undercover on DVD
Plus a Del Taco Gift Card too.

I received The Beach Boys Party, Claire Hamill's "Love In The Afternoon", the 6 disc Cutting Edge, the Jeremy Spencer reissue,3 books, 6 shirts, 1 pair of pajamas, & 2 Amazon gift cards.
It was a great Christmas.

Pretty much bought this for myself, to my wife's chagrin, but totally psyched to now have the Oppo 105D BluRay player. Without any other changes to my system other than replacing the CD player, CD's sound way improved, and now I can finally play SACD & DVD-A's I've had a long time. I don't a have ton of those but man they sound great to my ears. I may finally be getting the Hi-Res bug Geff lets us know about all the time, but with limited funds (esp after buying the Oppo), I won't be buying anything too quickly, Sticking with 2.0 for now. I'll be watching your critiques though Geff. Glad I didn't get the Hi-Res 2014 Rush boxes!
Used some Amazon gift cards on Rush R40 & The Who at Hyde Park.

And two special things...
One is a new guitar cable. This was a bonus gift from my wife - pre-emptive thank you for taking care of her after her impending knee replacement. I told her she screwed up - now there's no real incentive to take good care of her. I already have the cable.
The second was a card from my daughter, thanking me for all the stuff I do for her. Which is nice - I'm glad she's appreciative. But the kicker was when she said I'm her favorite person to go to Penguins games with.

I got "Fortunate Son" (the John Fogerty biography), a blu-ray player, and a couple of blu-ray movies.. Self-Santa also brought me a couple of bottles of Trooper 666 (a limited run with a slightly different label, in which they upped the alcohol content from 4.75% to 6.6%)
