The Box Set Series is similar to Legacy's Essential compilations, so this won't be jam-packed with rarities, but we can hope for good new remastering and maybe an oddity or two:

Neither "Doin' That Crazy Thing" nor its B-side "Goin' Down To Rio" have ever made it to CD, I don't think. I'd get this new 3CD set in a heartbeat for those tracks alone.
Both sides of Bev Bevan's 1976 solo single can be found on this out-of-print CD from 1999:
Also not yet on CD is this unreleased version of "10538 Overture" which has been making the rounds for a while (although it might actually be an outfake):

The "Crazy Thing" single was released under Lynne's name, as opposed to ELO. I was hoping it'd be a on the reissue of Armchair Theater, despite 15 years between the release dates.
It was included as a bonus 7" in the vinyl box set A Box Of Their Best.

Understandably perhaps as it's only a half album, it is missing the Xanadu OST but that aside, this great collection does make any future ELO box set somewhat pointless.
Now a good various artists compilation of material produced by Jeff Lynne on the other hand...

Believe it or not, the ELO Box Set Series 3CD set is back on the release calendar, now showing as December 31st of this year. The 31st is a Saturday, not a Friday, so who knows what will happen this time around:

Yes!!!!!! I'm still hoping for an expanded Xanadu soundtrack including the three b-sides: "Drum Dreams," "Fool Country" and "You Made Me Love You." ("Fool Country" finally made its CD debut a few years ago on Olivia's Gold collection.)

Well, unfortunately the details never did fill in, and Amazon says "Temporarily out of stock". IOW, it wasn't released today. Hopefully the box will be rescheduled yet again and appear at some future date.
