So has his license to Bond expired?

I think it's still Casino Royale.

Skyfall. And it has the best Bond song.

Haven't seen the new one or Quantum but I gotta go with Skyfall as the slight edge over Casino.

I look at those titles and think...

The one with the guy that cries blood and the girl who dies.
The one where they're stealing water?
The one with the messed up jaw guy who wants to kill Dame Judy.
The one that I just saw and remember what it's about.

Goldfinger has the best Bond song. Skyfall may have the best Craig Bond song though.

Skyfall is on TV here tonight and my wife and I are going to watch it. QOS kind of put me off Craig's Bond, so I'm hoping this one will be as good as I'm led to believe it is.

Quantum is so unmemorable to me. I watched it once and have no desire to ever see it again. It's not that I remember it as bad; it's just sort of "there". My sons and I are on a Bond marathon, with the intent (failed) to see them all before Spectre came out. We've been stuck about to watch Quantum for a month now. Not just because it's the next one, other things have come up, but the lack of any compulsion to get to it says something, I think, given how big a fan of Bond and Craig as the character I am. I mean, we didn't miss a week on the Moore ones! I feel like we should have skipped it and went to Skyfall.

I don't know what point I'm going for, I'm drunk.

One thing in Quantum's favor;a running time that's shorter than most Bond films.
Brevity is something more Bond films should emulate.

That's true of most modern large scale movies. It is a bit like fantasy novels, perhaps - the customers don't feel they are getting a 'proper' read if it's less than 800 pages per volume and the viewers of a 'blockbuster' maybe feel cheated if it's less than two hours

I voted for Casino Royale. I can watch that one over and over.

Casino Royale.

I've been underwhelmed with each Bond offering since.

And for those that think Skyfall is the best Bond song...

It's not even the best Adele song.

And I hate Adele.

Try it again. With expectations this low, you might even end up pleasantly surprised it was better than you thought it was.

I think it's easily as good as any of the Dalton or Brosnan ones (except Goldeneye), and better than all the Roger Moore ones.

You know what, I gave it some thought and this is my '5 best' list:

Skyfall
From Russia With Love
Goldfinger
Spectre
Casino Royale

I know it might seem contrarian to put Spectre there, and above Casino Royale to boot, but I loved the way it melded the Craig era with classic/camp Bond. I had a great time watching it, and a marginally better time than when I was watching Casino Royale (although I do love that movie)

Goldeneye almost made my Top 5, but I have such fond memories of ABC Sunday Night at the Movies and watching the Bond films, it was hard to break the childhood memories.

I might quibble with some of the choices you make here, but it's good to see someone who likes The Living Daylights as I do. I don't really know how it holds up, because it's been a long time since I've seen it, but I thought this was a terrific movie when it came out, and got me interested in Bond again for the first time since Live and Let Die. License to Kill was a big let down after this.
