The final U.K. stop on the Who‘s 50th anniversary tour will be commemorated with Live at Hyde Park, a concert film scheduled for a theatrical run later this year.
The band shared the news on Facebook, noting that the documentary and live film will debut on Oct. 7 and present the June 26, 2015, show with additional behind-the-scenes footage: “Come and experience (or relive!) all the greatest hits on the big screen. Plus Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey, Iggy Pop, Robert Plant, Johnny Marr and others share their stories of the band’s history and influence as legendary pioneers of British rock.”
The Who: Live in Hyde Park is presented by Eagle Vision, whose site promises a viewing experience that “will take their audience on an ʻAmazing Journeyʼ through their entire career from classic albums such as Who’s Next, Tommy, Quadrophenia, My Generation and Live At Leeds up to the present day.”
Billed as the group’s “fourth and possibly final” appearance at the venue, the Live at Hyde Park gig capped the U.K. gigs booked on a tour that singer Daltrey described by saying, “This is the beginning of the long goodbye.” As previously reported, there are no further plans for the Who to tour on this scale, and Townshend has recently suggested that he might be ready to completely close the book on further performances under the band’s name.
Specific showtimes and ticketing information have yet to be posted, but fans interested in catching a screening of The Who: Live at Hyde Park can register for email alerts at TheWhoFilm.com.

If you're not nice
Bump: One additional configuration has been added, a deluxe set with all the trimmings -- it includes a book along the DVD, the Blu-ray and the 2CD set.

I need to know more about the book so I can decide whether to change my pre-order.
We went to see this in the theater last night (no tea). What a great show. Outstanding song selection, and Roger's voice was in great form. He's changed the scream at the end of "Love, Reign O'er Me" - it's sort of a falsetto and he ventures off into a really bassy thing. But the scream was there in "Won't Get Fooled Again". Pete actually seemed to be enjoying himself, both in the interview segments and the performance. Loved the backdrop image for "Pictures Of Lily". And it looked fabulous on the big screen. The only downside is we got there a couple minutes late because my buddy was a few minutes late to dinner, and the service was slow (for the first time ever at this place). We walked in during the interview bits before the main event, and my wife said, "I think we're going to ignore everyone coming in late" just as I turned the corner in the theater and saw the crowd...of two. We nearly tripled the crowd. I hope this kind of stuff doesn't deter the theater from having these events - I like having them 15 minute from home.

Was this a Fathom event? I think theaters would have better turnout if the pricing were more in line with other offerings.
For example, the recent Roger Waters screening was $18 in my market. Compare this to (a) the $10 top ticket price for any other film that night and (b) the impending DVD/Blu-ray release at essentially the same price ($18-21), and it's pretty easy to see why many people give these one-off screenings a pass.

Yep, Fathom. $15 vs. $8 or so regular. This theater has only been open a few months, so that may be part of it as well. At a more established theater, the place was usually full.

The packshot indicates that the video discs are PAL/Region 0. Amazon USA's listing for a domestic version of this set has gone dormant, and there's some doubt as to whether it will be released in the States at all. (When it was live, the price was about $25 higher than the current UK price.)
