But let's face it, geeks and nerds are really only interested in boobies if they're drawn well in a comic.

So, from this I guess it was the Tommy gun itself that was the problem and not because it was a gun, per se. :-o

So, I could have kept the original pose and just given him a .45 instead? Sunuvabitch.

Hm. Or maybe they're just as capricious as Threadless :/

I suspect a few things going on...
if it's marvel that is doing the judging...
if it is not (marvel) there are a couple other...
hmmm issues I see...

Just heard back from her. She said Marvel said under no circumstances would a shirt with a gun be approved for printing. Those two "slipped by". They will be offered the chance to revise their designs.

As I told her, I do so love consistency in these matters.

All is well. Or as well as can be reasonably expected. :)

So is this shirt not approved by Marvel?

Went and looked at all We Love Fine's Marvel stuff. So far we have

Rocket Raccoon
Black Widow (including one where the whole artwork is inside the outline of a gun)
Star Lord
Punisher logo
Deadpool
Coulson/SHIELD
Nick Fury

brandishing firearms.

As for shirts from other sources everybody and their cousin is making money off stuff they don't own. I was more interested in what was on WLF. I remembered the Deadpool contest. I don't know if any of those are contest winners.

Maybe it's a new policy. Maybe it only applies to contests. Maybe it only applies to iterations of Spider-Man. Maybe Marvel can't keep their shit straight. Who knows? I'll wait til the contest is over if I want to find out anything else. As long as we're applying it evenly in this case I'm good.

marvel has had a change of policy since all the headlines with gun deaths...

Well, 10 winners picked. I was not among them.

What's interesting to me is that almost none of those I thought would get picked, got picked. So not only is my sense of design off on my OWN stuff, but it's just off in general. :)

That's most likely it for me and contests. It's not worth the time and effort.
