I have a feeling that the release date has slipped, but here's what Sid Griffin said last month:

The Long Ryders 4 CD box Set
The word is out, Cherry Red Records are indeed compiling the ultimate, as yet untitled, Long Ryders compilation.
Released in late September the first three CDs are a compilation of the best tracks (with a few unreleased gems thrown in) from every stage of the founders of alt-country’s career. The fourth CD is a previously unreleased smokin’ live performance from a Benelux festival in March 1985. Originally a radio broadcast and only aired twice back in the day it has been unheard since, neither bootlegged or rumoured.
And the best thing about it, besides the Long Ryders audibly playing at the very top of their game, is it features many songs previously unreleased in live versions as well as a few surprises!

Final Wild Songs: The Long Ryders Box Set
Want some Long Ryders news? As stated the four CD Long Ryders box set will be out on Cherry Red in October. It is called Final Wild Songs: The Long Ryders box set. The first three CDs feature the 10-5-60 EP, the three full LPs the band recorded, and eighteen (!) rare tracks, eight of which are previously unreleased…including the audio of the band performing Looking For Lewis & Clark absolutely live on the BBC’s Whistle Test program in 1985 and two unheard mixes of tunes from the State Of Our Union sessions which are completely, completely different to the versions heard on that classic LP.
Yet it is the fourth disc the Long Ryders are most proud of. It is a live CD from a radio broadcast in Benelux in March 1985 when the band was hot as a four dollar pistol on a Newark Saturday night. Broadcast twice thirty years ago it has not been heard since and its discovery is quite an event in the history of the founders of alt-country. And the track listing features rare Long Ryders songs like Time Keeps Travelling, As God Is My Witness, and Southside Of The Story so this fourth disc is not simply the same old songlist recycled but a new audio experience for us all.

Can't find this on Cherry red's release schedule page. Already have deluxe (1CD) editions of all three albums and all the live and out-takes collections, so this wasn't an ESSENTIAL purchase, but... Anyone hear anything about a rescheduling?

Final Wild Songs
The Long Ryders box set, Final Wild Songs, is out in November via the Cherry Red label.
With tracks from EVERY label the Long Ryders were ever on this is a very special box set indeed. Featuring four CDs and many unseen photos and with each track having commentary from one of the band it is housed in a beautiful package designed by the legendary Phil Smee, the UK’s best LP/CD cover artist.
The first three CDs have many rare tracks and over a dozen unreleased cuts in addition to containing all the tracks from the 10-5-60 EP and all the best tracks from the Native Sons, State Of Our Union and Two-Fisted Tales albums.
Also included is a special secret surprise cut we dare not tell you about now…yep…and the crackin’ live version of Looking For Lewis & Clark from the BBC TV Whistle Test broadcast which shot the Long Ryders to fame in the UK and much of Europe.
In answer to the many queries, yes, the Long Ryders hope to do some very special shows in 2016 to support Final Wild Songs. These shows will not be ones to miss as the band many never saddle up and play again.
We could go on and on about how very special Final Wild Songs is but let us leave the subject for now and move on…after we make the timely reminder Christmas is just around the corner and this collection makes an excellent stocking stuffer for the Americana fan on your block!
However, Cherry Red themselves are saying that it will be released in January.

Nice! Pre-ordered at 37.99 from AmazonUS. The lovely 2CD Long Ryders Anthology remains the only place to get the band demo of Stephen's "I'll Get Out Somehow", but all the other tracks unique to that compilation are on here. One album track, "Still Get By" from Native Sons, is missing here, as are some of the bonus tracks on each albums' Deluxe Editions. Very excited about Disc 4! Yippee!

I hope they bring the reunion to the west coast this time. Recent years have seen incredible shows from The Rain Parade, Translator, and The Three O'Clock, yet nothing from The Long Ryders
