"Fear The Walking Dead" will premiere in the late summer with season two set for 2016. An official premiere date has not yet been announced. The season five finale of the flagship series airs Sunday at 9 p.m.

Since this is being produced by AMC, I assume this is an official spinoff. If it wasn't AMC, I would have strongly suspected it of being produced by The Asylum.

The trailer looks promising to me. I love the idea of taking a closer look at the 'beginning of the end'. My concern is that, once we've gotten a good long and detailed look at that 'start of the Apocalypse', which we did NOT get in the original series, where does it go? How can it become any different from the original show, just with a different group(s) of survivors? I think it can get played out pretty quick that way.

Also, I am yet to hear an explanation for the title. Seriously, 'Fear The Walking Dead' is a really lousy friggen title unless it has some sort of hidden meaning that I'm not seeing.

Keeping an open mind and my fingers crossed that this turns out to be something more than a cynical money-grab.

It was okay. Very slow start. Glad that they're not stretching out the creation of the zombies over two many episodes. We'll watch for sure.

Time will tell. They seemed extremely stupid from the viewpoint of the audience that already knew what is about to happen.

The "you're crazy" and "you're paranoid" comments may stop once the characters see more footage of, and come in contact with, the walkers.

watched it today. Liked the slow burn approach.

The only thing is, the characters so far are all pretty unlikeable . . . wont really care when, or if any of them get it in the neck

I dug the first episode. I think because its a spin-off, with a built in audience, it will take it time to let the origin grow organically, something the originals pilot could not chance.
