Featuring songs recorded between 2003-2015, Transience is a personally curated introduction to the more accessible side of Steven Wilson's monumental solo output.

A limited edition vinyl only issue scheduled to coincide with the second leg of the Hand. Cannot. Erase. tour, Transience contains a new recording of the Porcupine Tree classic Lazarus, which Steven has been performing on tour recently with his stellar live band. The new version is based on a live recording, subsequently overdubbed and edited in SW's private studio in July 2015.

Transience contains 13 tracks and totals over 1 hour of music. Pressed as a 3 sided LP in a lavish gatefold sleeve with black and white portraits of SW by Joe Del Tufo and Susana Moyaho, the fourth vinyl side features an etching of the original handwritten lyric sketches for Happy Returns.

This is a strictly limited one off pressing. Double heavyweight vinyl in gatefold cover with anti-static inner bags, the album comes with a download code.

Burning Shed also notes that 100 copies out of the entire pressing (not the earliest orders) will be randomly signed by Mr. Wilson.

SW is not only a musical genius but a shrewd marketing one as well.

You can usually pick up copies at a local B&N but this issue probably won't show up til mid September in the US.

$12 or $14, I think. I forget which UK mags are which price. One or two of the guitar mags are $16.

What's kind of odd is that when I was in London, after factoring in exchange rates, the US mags were about the same price over there as over here. But the UK mags here are about 3x the price as in the UK.

I'm the opposite with price; as it is I just tossed 20 years of Stereophile mags & a ton of Maximum PC mags & am probably going to be tossing 79 Ice mags.

I can't justify more then $3 or $4 for a mag I might read once with a cd with 1 song I want

All the UK mags such as Mojo, Uncut, Classic Rock, Classic Rock PROG etc. all run about $12 - $15. They blow US magazines away with the glossy color, oversized pages and bonus CD every month — can you imagine Rolling Stone or Goldmine doing that? — but yes, they are quite pricey.

From what you all have been writing, I'd love to get some of these; but as I'm already selling & throwing away most of my printed material as part of downsizing, I can't justify $10 for 1 read & then the garbage can, no matter how good it is.
