My favorite event of the year:

"The ultimate trip back in time to the grand old days of drive-in cinema is back! DRIVE-IN SUPER MONSTER-RAMA is two nights of classic horror 35mm screenings (and one very special DCP presentation) presented at an authentic, hospitable drive-in movie theater. There will be two big shows on two consecutive nights which will start at dusk and go on until really late into the night! This is the ninth year in a row that we are hosting such an event, so we encourage drive-in movie fanatics from all parts of the country to come out and experience something you'll never forget! What could be better than a weekend getaway topped off with two nights of classic monster movies on the big outdoor screen?

On Friday, September 11, (Vincent Price/Roger Corman/Edgar Allan Poe night) the features will be THE PIT AND THE PENDULUM (restored DCP), THE MASQUE OF THE RED DEATH (35mm), THE TOMB OF LIGEIA (35mm) and THE HAUNTED PALACE (35mm).

On Saturday, September 12 (British Vampire Night), the features will be HORROR OF DRACULA (35mm), DRACULA HAS RISEN FROM THE GRAVE (35mm), THE FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS (35mm) and SON OF DRACULA (aka YOUNG DRACULA) (35mm).

Each night we will also present an array of vintage exploitation and monster movies trailers in between the features which we know you will just love! We'll also have cartoons, classic concession stand adverts, and a few surprise short comedy subjects!"

At the Riverside Drive-In, 2780 River Road, Vandergrift, PA 15690

The Fearless Vampire Hunters really is kind of a hoot.

I've yet to watch that one, but heard good things.

I've heard Son of Dracula with Ringo Starr is pretty terrible!
