When Slade Rocked The World: 1971-1975 features vinyl editions of Slade Alive!, Slayed?, Old New Borrowed And Blue and Slade In Flame. In addition, the package comes bundled with four double-sided singles, an interview flexidisc and two CDs containing material from the four vinyl releases.

Also included is a 10-inch hardback book featuring reviews, features and memorabilia, along with a copy of George Tremlett’s 1975 book The Slade Story.

The deluxe set is available to pre-order via PledgeMusic, although it’s not open to those living in North America or Japan due to licensing restrictions. Two packages are available to pre-order, including a limited-edition pack which comes with a set of eight Slade In Flame cards.

I bought the shout factory compilation about ten years ago, but I didn't become a Slade fan because of it.

Are they more of an albums band?

I don't like them in the least, so I'm the wrong guy to say but I know there are fans on here.

In fact, they ruled the UK singles chart during the early 70s glam-rock period, with 17 consecutive Top 20 hits, including six #1's.

I picked up this 4-CD collection during J&R's clearance sale, all the hits, more than enough for casual fans. Cheap too on Amazon UK.

I did like "Run Runaway" and "My Oh My," which were MTV hits back in the day and did have the cassette of Keep Your Hands Off My Power Supply, but that album is apparently out of print.

And I guess I was so used to Quiet Riot's remakes of "Cum On Feel The Noize" and "Mama Weer All Crazee Now" that I liked those versions better than the originals.

I feel like I should like Slade, but a recent listen of that Shout Factory compilation didn't do much for me at all.
