I have a 2 cd boot called "3 - Live In The City". It was recorded Live in NYC on April 1988.

Therefore since this release is not what I have I am very interested.

I remember years ago Keith Emerson said he had a live 3 show that he was getting ready to release on CD though the official ELP site, but some ELPowell material was to come first. Well, the ELPowell material did come first, but nothing from 3 ever came along after that. I wonder if this show might be what he was talking about...or if not, I wonder what happened to the show he WAS talking about...

Now that you post this I DO remember him saying something of the sort.

I have the Esoteric reissuing solo works with great re-mastering results. Would have liked them to be taking a crack at this.

I have this show on cassette.

I recorded it off the radio.

It was in Boston, MA and it's an OK show. They had a guitar player making it 4, not 3 (I think his name was Paul Kantor or something).

The set was mostly the 3 album and a few covers with a keyboard and drum solo.

Some ELP but only instrumentals.

I saw "3" here in Tampa when they toured. They didn't use a guitar player at that point.

Great to see Keith and Carl together again but you can tell that this incarnation was not going to go anywhere.

Not bad I may say but a 2nd rate Asia. I wished Emerson would have continued E,L, Powell. There they had something for sure.

Who is Robert Berry?

A young guy (at the time) from the Bay area, California. Multi-instrumentalist and had a nice home studio. You see his name on a lot the tribute albums that for instance Billy Sherwood churns out.
