I like Louis C K a lot but only recently discovered this show. It is brilliantly funny and unique. I'm up to season 3 and the episode with Robin Williams and the kid that "diarrhead the tub". Great stuff so far.

It's a great show. I'm impressed that he writes, directs and even edits most of the shows himself on his Macbook.

He is as deftly courageous with the content of the show as he is in his standup routines. My jaw hit the floor in the episode where he took his daughters to the country to see his aunt so that they could learn about how life was better in the good 'ol days and then for the aunt to start throwing out the "n" word. Like most of the episodes I felt an emotion that is without a name - funny, but not funny - wrong, but so right - and I think that is what makes the show great.

He did this equally as well with the Parker Posey character that played off Louis so well it was captivating. Posey gave one of the best performances that I have seen and made such a complex character in such a short period of time that it was truly believable that Louis would be obsessed with seeing her again even though he knew that there was no rationale for doing so.

Yeah the two parter with her was just brilliantly unexpected, and so well acted. Louis himself is a really good screen actor too - at least playing 'himself' he is!

Awesome show. I've been in since the beginning, although I haven't watched the fourth season yet.

The Parker Posey story arc was great. The Doug Stanhope episode - geez, that felt almost like he was trying to send Doug a message. The poker table scene where they discussed the term "faggot" was hysterical. And Louie and Pam Adlon are brilliant together, back to Lucky Louie (there's a scene from that show where she rips Louie in a playground, and Jim Norton says, "Blow me", and she basically emasculates him - wonderfully done).

Louis has said the key to the show working so well is that he gets to do it on his terms. Someone asked him what would happen if the network got more involved or asked for certain things, and he said the show would be over. He said he only does the show because he gets to do it on his terms, and if that changes, he's done with it. I get that not everyone is Louis CK, but networks could learn a thing or eight from this.

It will be jarring to see the Robin Williams episode again. I started rewatching the series but i skipped over that one for now.

Louie is pretty darn good. Far better than many over half hour offerings there.

Thinking about the episode with his sister and the false labor pains still makes me laugh.

"Dude. :( "
