the good news?
CHINA CRISIS released a brand new studio album about a month ago.
(i received a copy from a friend as a surprise belated birthday gift.)

the bad news?
it was funded and produced though PledgeMusic - a fan-funded collaboration and after the initial pressings and mail-out,
there are no current plans for any otherwise commercial release and copies are selling for $150+ on eBay.

personally, i think it's a great album with 11 new tracks, replete with horns and lovely arrangements similar to the previous 2 recordings.
with original members, no lacking in vocals or musicianship, and superb artwork; it's a beauty. good luck!

and hopefully, they're back in the groove and this isn't just a one-off.

I have a friend who tours with them, and introduced my wife and I to them last year. Seems that Eddie Lundon has said there will be a "mail order version" soon, whatever that means.

I was grumbling about this on Facebook, and that is the response I received.

strange band for me, china crisis is.......i had read all the comparisons to the great rock bands,......i read the stellar reviews and was anxious to get some of their material, alas no where in my area carried anything by them.........on a trip to toronto once i managed to pick up a couple of their albums, including a 'best of"......upon first listen it was pleasant enough and i kept listening for a couple of weeks....alas, nothing stuck with me, another band i really wanted to like and get into, yet fizzled out in the long run.

i no longer own anything by them, having traded them in for cash to buy other things.

i've never checked to see if they are represented on spotify, if they are, i will have to give them another shot.
