Here's my suggestions for playing (of course at Ice the only "rules" are don't be abusive or political).

This has been floating around in my head for along time (see this thread for a little background):

viewtopic.php?f=18&t=92076

I'd like to limit this to whatever you see as the Ice Rock/Pop era (for me that starts around 1963, but your mileage may vary).

My idea is that anyone who wants to play list each instrument you want to comment on (mine will likely be lead guitar, rhythm guitar, acoustic guitar, bass, drums, keys, Male Vocals, Female Vocals & Singer-songwriter; but please do not consider that as a limit) & list your 2 favorite musicians at each "position".

For me the choices need to have a combination of technical skill level AND touch me emotionally. As an example I wouldn't pick Bob Dylan (touches me but can't sing) or Mariah Carey (has an incredible voice but imo picks garbage material) as vocalist.

It's also ok to change your mind & edit your original choices.

Cool selections so far! I was tempted to add a favorite all around artist, but mine would change every 10 minutes!

I'm gratified that others also see Hendrix' amazing strength & unique style (stolen by Robin Trower) as a rhythm player.
