Description
Another unreleased treasure from the vaults - an extended live performance from '70s prog rock icons Renaissance performing at the historic Academy Of Music hall in New York!

This superb performance covers most of the band's extraordinary fifth album Turn Of The Cards, which earned the band rave reviews, as well as highlights from Ashes Are Burning, released a year earlier!

Tracklist
CD1:
1. Can You Understand
2. Black Flame
3. Carpet Of The Sun
4. Cold Is Being
5. Things I Don't Understand
6. Running Hard

CD2:
1. Ashes Are Burning
2. Mother Russia
3. Prologue

I THINK this is the same as the oop King Biscuit set, which sadly wasn't all that good. If this is the same release, I suggest buying Live At Carnegie Hall instead.

The King Biscuit sets I have were recorded in 1977 at the Royal Albert Hall. When first issued they were called "King Biscuit Flower Hour Presents In Concert:Renaissance". There were 2 separate discs issued. When the sets were reissued in 2003 they were called :Renaissance:Greatest Hits Live".

I downloaded this new set, and I like it.
The Carnegie Hall stuff is very good

Thanks for the correction. I am now interested. Can you tell from the download how the sound quality is? Cleo's live stuff tends to vary.

The sound is quite good. I haven't listened to the Carnegie Hall sets in a while, but I find this satisfying.

That has to be the ugliest cover I ever saw. Especially in contrast to one of the most beautiful female voices in music. How diabolic! :ohno:
