I really want to go to LA Nokia show, but an $18 service fee on a $21.50 ticket really kills me.

I bought a ticket for the New York City show.....the service charge sucks, but I never managed to see them live yet.

Going to be an interesting spring with seeing old punk-era (or ska) bands as The Buzzcocks, The Specials, and Public Image Limited coming through New York.

The show was great last night....they tore through everything. The show was 1 hour 45 minutes (including the 4+ minute break before the encore. The full set was the 1st 2 albums in order...then a 5 song encore of Harmony In My Head, Promises, Ever Fallen In Love?, What Do I Get, Orgasm Addict. The opening act is the Dollyrots....a garage/pop/punk band that I know of as they're played on Little Steven's Underground Garage a bit. They're well worth getting there early for too.....they did a punk version of "Brand New Key" that worked great.

If you live anywhere this is upcoming, you should definitely go (even despite the Ticketbastard service charge).

It also ended up being an interesting night as a "bomb scare" ended up shutting down the Irving/Union Square area and evacuating buildings (but thankfully not the concert). They actually had to interrupt one song (E.S.P.) so Peter Shelly did the whole "make/license plate/if you're the owner, the car is being towed" announcement before the band resumed the song where it left off. After the show, everyone had to leave through the back service enterance..and that's when I saw all the streets closed off with police cars and fire trucks, firemen with axes, Eyewitness News news van. The owner of the car was at the concert....a gardener/land scaper who left 2 gas cans in full view in the back seat.

Jeez, what a dummy. Guess the guy doesn't read the papers. The whole city is on edge with vehicles filled with gas cans.

I saw them twice last week. They're still in great form. Last Friday (at the Stone Pony!) was Pete Shelley's 60th birthday...............never too old to sing "Orgasm Addict."

Never saw them, but one of my favorte bands from the mid-late 1970s period. I still love their albums from that time.

Heard it today on one of my Google Music "radio" stations. I had no idea they were going to be touring.

They've been back together - doing shows since 1989.

It's only Shelley and Diggle from the big lineup.....but those are the 2 you need.

Their new album from last year is really good

Chuckled at their performance on Seth Meyers. Great performance, but Steve Diggle trying to do his rock leap at the end... He cleared about three inches off of the floor. :)
