James Taylor has tweeted his new album is done and its title is "Before This World". I read on the James Taylor Online site that the album will be released on June 16, according to the French edition of Rolling Stone magazine, so I am not sure if this is the official release date.
The album will include the songs "Stretch Of The Highway" and "You And I Again" that JT has been performing live in concert.
Here's a link to the youtube performance of You and I Again".

Cool. Nearly ten years since "October Road," his last collection of original material. I'm assuming (and hoping) this album will be made up of original material. Thanks for the heads up, ericsen. Will be purchasing this one on sight whenever it appears.

Yes, Headfone, the album will be made up of original material. Here are some tracks that should be on the album, again according to the article that was in the French edition of Rolling Stone magazine:
Songs that James confirms for the album: - Before This World - Angels of Fenway - Stretch of the Highway - Far Afhanistan - You and I (Again) - Snowtime - Today, Today, Today - Watching over Me - Montana The 11-song album was recorded live in James' barn in 11 days, one song per day.
I will also be getting this on release day. James Taylor is one of a very few artists that makes me long for the days when they used to put out an album once a year or every two years.

Just wanted to post this too. Sorry, I don't know how to post a video here, but this link is from JT's tweet about getting the recording process done. (It's kinda cool and funny)

I embedded this for you, Eric. Just take the URL of a video, wrap it in [youtube] tags, and you'll be good to go.

Bump: All editions are linked for pre-order in the first post now, and we have the album cover too. (Not yet sure what the Super Deluxe Edition will consist of.)

There's a pic of the Super Deluxe Edition now on Amazon. It appears to be a 3 disc set. Looks like one of them will be the making of DVD and one disc I would assume is the CD. I wonder what the 3rd disc is? I've looked, but so far have not seen a whole lot of what the contents of the Super Deluxe Edition are going to be. The price seems pretty steep at 79.99.
I should have looked further down. They now also have a description of this edition: Before This World is James Taylor's first collection of new material in 13 years. The beautiful Super Deluxe Edition book includes bonus tracks, a DVD of the There We Were: The Making of James Taylor's 'Before This World' (Expanded) documentary and a 40 page hard bound book featuring photos, liner notes, and a collector's envelope with handwritten lyrics and other memorabilia, all housed in a numbered, die cut slip case.

I wouldn't get this if you paid me $80! Angels of Fenway? I never trusted that guy - I am glad I stopped buying his vinyl in the mid-70's.
