I just discovered Time-Life did an official release of The Wonder Years series last year that is said to have retained 95% of the music. I'd really like to have this.

I've been waiting on this, hoping that Time-Life will cut the price, but no dice. Sooner or later I'll bite the bullet and go for it.

Based on previous Time Life releases, this will be in general release for the next Christmas season.

The other option is S's 1-2 are out at much lower pricing (1 is especially cheap).

Waiting to make sure they really do 4-6 is probably the way to go.

I'm buying this as each season comes out. I cannot afford the fancy packaging. I bought Seasons 1 & 2 at Target.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this series, and the purchases are well worth it.

After all of the years of talking about the issues with music licensing, how is it that this became available with 95% music and so little fanfare? There was a lot of discussion about WKRP. How did this one manage to slip the radar? Is it possible that the 95% isn't really accurate?

What's Target's price?

If I can remember correctly, Season 1 was $14.99 and Season 2 was $27.99. I saved $5 with a coupon I used on Season 2, so I actually paid $22.99.

The locker version is the original Time Life release. Amazon's initial price, not yet discounted, is the same as Time Life's, but the latter is including some memorabilia and a soundtrack CD as bonuses. The slipcase package at Amazon, also not discounted yet, is $50 less than the locker with the same video contents.
