From your intro, I expected the article to be some millennial writer railing against older rock musicians, but it's not that at all. It's a pretty positive story about how people are continuing to pursue their interests at later ages than earlier generations did:

The problem is that everybody younger than the baby boomers is seeing how one generation can screw things up for everybody who comes after them. Let's see...government shutdowns, bailouts, hedge funds, outsourcing, endless bickering over bullshit partisan politics...the runway is way too long.

At least they have the courtesy to weep for our nation's youth.
