Always liked the Missing Man---such an odd visual. So was Speedball.
But I choose Dormammu;such an odder visual.

I haven't read Mister A, Shade, and several others... but based on what I have, I like Ted Kord.

I voted for Blue Beetle even though I like The Question more. The Question that I really like (the O'Neill/Cowan version) is pretty far from Ditko's creation.

Heh! I'm the opposite. I prefer Ted Kord/Blue Beetle but think The Question is just an awesome character creation.

That's how I see it, too.

Mr. A is the most primal Ditko character.

I finally scored the two Steve Ditko Omnibus volumes at a price I found reasonable via AmazWAN ($21 and $24 -- I got both for less than the cost of just one at a $60 MSRP). Mainly interested in volume one, but I figured I'd just get both and have the set before either one starts getting more rare or out-of-print and the prices rise again (a la the Fourth World Omnibus HCs).

Read Shade, the Changing Man #1 and really loved it. That Steve Ditko is really something else, with all his crazy and unique ideas. I love how he doesn't waste time with a lot of set-up because he's worried the audience won't get it -- he just throws you right into this nutty world and trusts you to get it. (Though maybe that hurt the book since Shade didn't last too long.)

My only criticism is that Shade should wear full pants instead of a wrestling-singlet type outfit.

I have both of those books. Those are my favorite trade dress of all. My Kirby Kamandis are the same line. I wish I had gotten the Fourth World in those sets.

The Ditko Creeper is also that same trade dress.

You can get the Fourth World Omnibus in paperbacks that have that same kind of trade dress.

I know. I stalked them for a while. I wish I had dinner out while the bloom was on the rose. As they were coming out.
