I had the pleasure of meeting Pete for the first time earlier this week when I was down in Philadelphia on business. He was a terrific host and great company. He got me juiced about the book he's writing too! The only downside to the evening was that the Flyers gave up two late goals to lose to Columbus (which we watched from his local watering hole).

One of the great things about this place is having the opportunity to meet new people who share my musical disease.

Yeah, for being a Philly/Jersey guy, he's okay...

Are you sure they're your kids? They seem awfully nice.

Based on the title of this thread, I assumed it had something to do with Pete's new purple outfit. Apparently I was wrong.

All I know is there were an awful lot of UPS deliveries in certain time frames. But neither kid wears brown, so what do I know?

Clearly. Pete is way too tall to be a Prince impersonator.

Smiff was as advertised-a great guy.

This, despite being from the same state as Chris.

The only purple I was wearing was my Barney the Dinosaur thong which I always wear for dinner.

Is that so wrong?

So that's why I kept hearing "I love you, you love me" from under the table.

Pete, if you need Smiff counseling, PM me.

I know your pain.

That's funny because he talked about you all night Chris.

I can repeat at least 5% of what he said.

Just to clarify, I didn't spend the "all night" with Pete. He's a handsome and charming man, but not exactly my type.

I think I'm relieved, yet slightly wounded.

Don't be - at his age, Smiff can't stay all night.
