This seems to be missing a helluva lotta songs and albums for the years listed, and I am very interested in getting these classic albums.
Universal has sent out an updated track listing which I've just put into the first post. There are a lot more tracks than originally announced, with eight full albums included (two per disc).

That's better, but Crash And Burn has to be part of it!
I asked him about this set the other day and he had no idea about it. Most artists rarely know what goes on with their old catalog.

The absence of Crash and Burn is bizarre, especially given the description on Amazon.uk: "Heavy touring throughout this period gave Travers a definite edge and just how sharp he and his band had become was evident on the 1979 live release, Live! Go For What You Know. Further studio albums were to follow, Crash and Burn and, in 1981, Radio Active. The 1984 album, Hot Shot is now considered as the last great Travers album."
Hot Shot, the live album and Radio Active are all included, so why not Crash and Burn, which has some classic tracks? Someone must know the answer, and it'll be interesting to read how they explain its non-includion in the new liner notes. By the way, as is often the case, it's cheaper through Amazon.uk, under $22 plus shipping...

Ask Linda
Isn't Radio Active more of a fusion-type album? I don't know much about Pat Travers, but this was after the "band" broke up and it was credited solely to Pat himself.

I wouldn't call it Fusion.
A lot of synths-an experiment to some degree.
Pat knew nothing about this box when I asked him-he and Polydor did not have a good relationship by the end.
As for Crash and Burn my guess is, they cut costs and space by not including the album since it is the top-seller of the back catalog. Makes the whole thing feel very incomplete and awkward though.

After multiple listens to all PT catalog versions back to back:
The Repertoire "Essential Collection" Eroc remastering is the best. The Japan SHM CDs are second. The "Feelin' Right" Andy Pearce remasters are third. The Lemon remasters are of course fourth (or last depending on your point of view).
By comparison to the Eroc remaster, IMO the Pearce remaster is lacking bottom end and some of the high frequencies are too hot... it's not brick walled, but some of the highs hurt my ears when played loud (listen to "Rock and Roll Susie" from "Makin' Magic" back to back and you'll hear what I'm talking about).
So this new "Feelin' Right" set provides a decent remaster and an excellent value, but sadly for us fans the best remastering is also the only one that doesn't offer the complete albums! What a shame Universal did not get Eroc to complete the stellar work he'd already done for the "Essential Collection" back in 2004... they surely must have been aware of it. I wonder why they went with Pearce instead?
And of course no excuse whatsoever for the sloppy editing of the art production. Again Repertoire did a better job with "Essential Collection" here as well.
