Very sad to read this today. One of the pioneers of electronic music. Tangerine Dream was such a cool group. I have some of Edgar's solo stuff as well which I will cue up this weekend in tribute.

Damn, never did get to see Tangerine Dream live. Bought Alpha Centuri on a trip long ago into NYC when I was a teen after hearing a cut from the album on Allison Steele's FM broadcast one late night in my room.

I'm also a big fan of the soundtrack to Sorcerer (a fllm by William Freidkin).

Yes very sad indeed. I played in several electronic rock bands and he was a huge influence on us. The depth of which cannot be understated. Was lucky enough to catch them for free on their Optical Race tour. Just recently completed my Edgar catalog on vinyl.
