Found this while roaming Youtube. It's interesting to look back and see all the things that were supposed to be "BIG!" and "UNIVERSE CHANGING!!!!", that sort of just dwindled away over time. Out of all those new titles and storyline, what really stood the test of time? Starman...maybe Impulse? Anyway, It's a neat look at what was going on 21 years ago at DC.
The Legion of Super-Heroes reboot was by far my favorite thing that came out of all that (though Impulse was fun). Things like Zero Hour always promise to be a jumping on point for "new" readers and to take a back-to-basics approach to the old characters, while also promising a bold, new updating on those old warhorses. It then ends up just slapping a new label on the same old can of corn.

It is a good snap shot of what was going on at DC at the time, but it is for me where DC started going wrong in the 90s quite severely.
I liked the LSH revamp as I didn't feel the "5 years later" stuff was working as well without Keith Giffen (although turning Princess Projectra / Sensor Girl into a snake in the post-Zero Hour universe was a real mis-step).
Superman wasn't affected as far as could tell except they introduced and then disposed of Conduit as a villain pretty quickly. Didn't like what was done to the JSA and Batman post Zero Hour. Batman not catching his parents' killer and becoming an urban legends just didn't work.
