enough live albums form daryl and john, enough.
and this one doesn't even have anything different on it, same old shit.
at least the 'troubador" album had 'me and mrs jones".
i know that some of you guys and gals like these live releases, but not me, take the time that you are taking to produce, mix, and master these things and write a few new tunes.....please!

What about people like me who don't have any live releases from them?

They have said that they're probably done putting out new material as a duo, but both have been pretty productive solo of late (when you take Live at Daryl's House into account).

Not that anyone asked my opinion on this, but since this is the internet I'll give it anyway. Before I revisited Marigold Sky for my recent H&O blog series I couldn't recall much about the album since I only played it a few times when it was first released and thought it was a little bland (even though I enjoyed hearing new music from them). I was hoping it would pack more of a punch all these years later, but that wasn't the case. I summarized it with the following comments: It took several listens but eventually a handful of songs stood apart from the rest, but there’s nothing here that I would include on a career-spanning anthology. Probably the most noteworthy item is Oates’ lack of a mustache in the packaging, which should tell you how unimpressed I was with this album.

They are done and have been done for about a decade as a recording act.
The Live In Dublin release does give you an accurate picture of what they have been playing in concert pretty much for the last 7 years. 14-15 song setlist.
If you want new original music, it will have to be solo. Maybe they record some cover or remake one of their songs for some future release but I doubt either men will write and record an original song as the duo ever again and definitely not album.
Now that Mr. Hall has opened his club "Daryl's House"; I am hoping they do a show where they play deep cuts; stuff they have either never played or stuff they haven't played since that album's tour. Even better would be for them to play all their albums in their entirety and then release those.
