All in all, not bad, with a little "Killing Joke" in episode 2.

I probably shouldn't have started with Episode 2, but I was curious. I will go back and watch the rest later.
Looks pretty good.

I'm liking this series quite a bit.
Still, I'm a little tired of Dreathstroke as a villain.

Not bad but as with most fan series, the casting is a little off (as to be expected with dream projects and casting yourself)

And I haven't liked Deathstroke since Wolfman/Perez Titans.

Still, I am impressed with what fans can do: make episodes that generally hold my
attention better than actual studio work.

We have definitely moved into an age when small productions have a place, and do
quite well. But they also appropriate someone else's characters and story lines, concepts,
and fan base to be successful.

I suppose if they were to make their own material, who would seek it out and watch it?

A buddy of mine, years ago, did a fan movie on VHS based on the Death of Gwen Stacey issues and was one of teh first good ones and caused quite the stir at the time. He did his own superhero movie recently called The Posthuman Project.

I approached the guy who did the fan short, Grayson, about doing something with Big Bang's similar character Galahad and told him he could actually sell it and make money but to no avail.

You talking about Dan Poole, Allen? The Green Goblin's Last Stand?
I bought a copy of that (well, a making of copy of that…) years ago.

Some pretty good stunts in that Dan Poole venture. Guy must have been a little crazy.

Oh yeah, he actually tied rope to buildings and jumped out and swung. Broke a few ribs during the battles too, flinging himself into the vats.

This was the "proof of concept" film for Nightwing, which came before the new series:
