The Atlas movies are really something. Each subsequent one is worse, and the first one was pretty fucking horrible to begin with.

I peaked in at that first Atlas movie while in NYC seeing the cool Melancholia in 2011. Just 5 minutes was enough to say what a peice of shit. No way would I sit through that kind of dreck.

You're a better man than me, Fraxon. I had no interest in see that movie once I heard what the self-righteous premise was.

I only saw the middle one, oddly enough. It was a prime example of incompetent filmmaking. Bad writing, bad acting, bad production values, bad editing.

Those qualities we find in good movies?

They have none of them.

The best Atlas Shrugged adaptation is still Iron Man 2, and it's not that good.

I've actually never seen an era of movies that are so poor, I wont even watch them as a DVD (and I love bad movies, the ones that become guilty pleasures like Cocktail). How anyone sits through them in a movie theater boggles my mind (unless your name is Roger Ebert and you get paid to see them).

I'd put Neighbors below Tusk.

While A Winters Tale is a disjointed story told in different eras, it was entertaining and one my wife loved (she had read the book) and I enjoyed it too. Colin Farrell doing his Irish thing and Russell Crowe as a bad ass, fun,

I'll be checking out Sex Tape this week and I'll see Ride Along just because.

There's a chance that The Pyramid, a horror movie that opens this week, will sneak into my Bottom 10.

I don't see how you guys watch all this crap. I have an appetite for new releases that gets swiftly overwhelmed because the "success rate" is so low.

I may give Sabotage a whirl. But I still need to get through Escape Plan. I keep falling asleep.

I have a lower threshold for bad movies on DVD as they don't cost anything and you can FF or turn off and move on quickly. Seeing a movie in a theater is a commitment. Seeing bad movies in a theater is not my idea of fun.

Your bottom ten is missing Kirk Cameron's SAVING GHRISTMAS.

I can only assume you haven't subjected yourself to it.

I was thinking about taking the family this season -- is it bad? It doesn't seem like it's trying to be much more than a TV special about the true meaning of Christmas, so I think it should be judged on those terms.

It's been brutally eviscerated by critics as nothing more than a vapid, vanity piece for Cameron that makes bad TV movies look good.

Reviews and rating were so bad at Rotten Tomatoes that Cameron went on Facebook and begged people to go there and post positive comments.

Well, I really like the "message" he's working on, and it's really more a movie about issues within the Christian community than one for society as a whole. I don't want to build it up like a good adventure movie, but the content is something I'd like for my family to consider.

(Note: the "message" is about Christians who are uptight over the pagan and materialistic elements of the traditions, and that they should embrace them and make them their own).

And he's using it to sell Kirk Cameron Christmas Blend Coffee.

I wish I was joking.
