CBS Gives Full Season Order To All Four Of Its New Dramas

CBS has given full season orders to all four of its new dramas, including the #1 and #2 new series of the season, “NCIS: New Orleans” and “Scorpion,” Sunday’s #1 scripted broadcast, “Madam Secretary,” and the time period-winning suspense thriller “Stalker.” These pick-ups include three of the top four new shows launched on television this season, and three series that rank among the top 15 of all prime time programs.

“These four shows have had an immediate impact on our schedule by improving nights, winning time periods and adding more hours of success across our primetime line up,” said Nina Tassler, Chairman, CBS Entertainment.

The four freshman dramas, along with the Network’s returning hit series and “NFL Thursday Night Football,” have helped CBS win the first four weeks of the season for the sixth consecutive year.

I will catch an upcoming episode of Madame Secretary that features our little town of Massapequa. They filmed a scene here (a soccer game).

Scorpion is alright, although having a show that is "based on" a real person/situation and then having a crossover with a fictional character from another show within the first 6 episodes seems like veering into jump the shark territory.

The rest I have no interest in, especially the idea of Tea Leoni as Secretary of State. It's almost as laughable as Katherine Heigl as some "bad-ass" CIA analyst in charge of the POTUS' daily briefing.

We have had a good time with Scorpion in my house. Granted, you have to have a strong sense of disbelief. But if you can let go of reality, it can be a good time.

I like 'Scorpion' and 'How to get away with Murder' for the new dramas

When it gets really serious, Tea Leoni squints extra hard.

I am a fan of Teá Leoni, but I haven't bothered to even give her new show a look.

NCIS: New Orleans Not as good as the other NCISes, and the accent Bakula was using was hard to listen to, though he's either getting better at it, or it's growing on me. Not a bad show.
Scorpion Good show - interesting. A little disappointing Kathrine McPhee is in a role where she won't likely be singing (what a beautiful voice). But I like her non-genius role and her motive for being there - to help her genius son and help these other socially challenged geniuses fit in better.
Madam Secretary I like Teá and this isn't a bad show - if you can overlook the likelihood somebody is probably trying to suggest Hillary (as Secretary of State) was probably like that, too, and would make a worthy president. Or maybe I'm just cynical about the timing of this show. Anyway, I like it.
Stalker I'm still DVRing them. But I hear it's good.

Heh, they found a way for Kathrine McPhee to sing in Scorpion. Not much singing, I'll grant you, but singing.

I had an epiphany last night. Scorpion is Big Bang Theory done as a Drama.

I'm already a little tired of these guys doing dumbass stuff, which makes things more dramatic. I mean, like fighting over who holds the remote control during an operation, thus crashing their drone, subsequently revealing their presence to the bad guys. O.K. they are not the most socially aware people, despite their intellect, but these guys are acting like complete morons when they do things like that.
