isn't this the first domestic release for 'body wishes"?

A few of these albums were reissued as 2-CD deluxe editions. I very much doubt this box will include any of that bonus material.

It also shows he was pretty good till 1981 with Tonight I'm Yours (the last actuall album I bought by him) and it's been downhill ever since (a 30 year slide!!).

The big question for me is; are these remastered?

Each to their own, but Out of Order and Spanner are particularly fine post-1981 efforts IMO.

The rhino project in 2008, I believe, only mastered the songs or albums that we scheduled for deluxe treatment or inclusion in comps so I doubt that this set is remastered.
Furthermore, the 5 disc original album series from a couple of years ago was also not remastered, although some tracklists on a number of websites suggested they were.

completely agree with you john.

horrible, and more importantly, totally forgettable, efforts ever since.

i truly believe that if someone gave me this i would trade it in for something else.

and his last 2 rock (and i use the term very loosely) albums........

by the way, no one has answered my question yet:

has 'body wishes" ever had a domestic release?

Out Of Order was a very good album in 1988.

By 1988 Rod was completely off my radar and has remained off it all these years later. I prefer to remember the glory years. :)

I believe there are deluxe and/or expanded versions of the albums from Blondes Have More Fun forward sitting in the Rhino vault, unreleased. I think Andy Zax confirmed this on SHF. This would be a great opportunity to get them out on CD. But they won't.

deluxe editions were only done for Blondes, Footloose and Out of order...
As for whether there is a market...if promoted by Rod they would sell alot more than similar releases by other less-successful artists...but he will not promote them.

I hate to bring up an old thread, but with all of these studio album box sets coming from Rhino recently, I thought about this one.

Does anybody know what happened to this release? It seems to have disappeared. I was going to purchase it and it never materialized.

I've added links to the first post. The Amazon USA listing is bare, but third party sellers in Canada and the UK are selling this set at collectable prices. I would guess that this was cancelled, and the sellers either obtained promos or copies from a first run which never made it to retail (or was recalled). Order with caution.

Thanks, Linda.

I found some on Ebay that were less expensive, so I ordered one there.
