Wonder Woman ’77 Digital First Comic Announced!
By comics xaminer

Seems like a ‘no-brainer’ considering the success of the Batman ’66 comic is currently enjoying.
wonder-woman-77-109193

Just like the aforementioned Batman ’66, Wonder Woman ’77 will emulate the aesthetic of the Wonder Woman TV series (1975-1979) that starred Lynda Cater in the titular role. It will be digital first and move on to print once enough chapters have been collected.
Writer Marc Andreyko will headline the comic while Nicola Scott does the covers. It’s safe to assume that the book’s interiors will be supplied by rotating artists.

WONDER WOMAN ’77 will debut digitally in December with six consecutive weekly chapters. These will be collected in two print issues to be released early in 2015. The series will then resume in the spring and appear periodically throughout the year.

O.K. DC Comics now bring on Superman ’78 and I’m a happy fanboy.

If it was the WWII Army Wonder Woman, I'd be there.

According to that article Hanzo linked to, they are doing a "Wonder Woman 77" comic.

Interesting. Perhaps there should be a thread about this?

Yes. Making this WW '77 instead of '75 is (as the kids would say) a "fail."

Unless they put Formicida in every issue, that is...

I merged his new thread with this one and removed the image, but I didn't want to just delete his post (it MATTERS!), so there it is. :)

Yes, they need Batman 67, Wonder Woman 77, Superman 55, Flash 91..which will break the double numbers but that's life!

Just so they could use '77 to match the trend with '66? No. Wonder Woman '75 please.
The only season of the TV series I own is the first one, and there's a reason for that.
How about Wonder Woman '44?

Besides, I also want Superman '52 as a book, not some later Superman '55.

I suppose Wonder Woman's 37s would be an okay title, too.

Power Girl DD seemed to work out well.

Wouldn't it be great if DC would ask Jose Delbo or Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez to contribute to this series?

If Frank Cho hadn't shit all over Superman, he could've finally done the Lynda Carter comic that he's been almost doing for decades.

He's a Marvel guy, through and through. Probably has no interest in doing a DC book.
