Following the break-up of Emerson, Lake and Palmer at the end of the 1970s, Keith Emerson ventured into the world of film soundtrack composition with his score for Italian director Dario Aregentos horror film Inferno in 1980. This in turn led to Emerson being commissioned to compose and perform the music for the film Nighthawks in 1981. From here a succession of film scores were to follow for directors in Italy, Japan and the United States. At the Movies gathers together Keiths music for seven movies; Nighthawks, Best Revenge, Inferno, La Chiesa (The Church), Muderock, Harmagedon and Godzilla Final Wars. The set also includes an illustrated booklet with new essay and photographs.

Saw something about this on seconddisc.com and thought I'd post it for anyone who didn't get this first time around.

I have the original pressing. The first two discs are so excellent.

One of the few things that are mostly unknown about these soundtracks for instance on "Murder Rock" Brad Delp sings lead on a couple tracks.

I also read that this was re-mastered and being a MAJOR Keith Emerson fan I may get this as a Christmas present.
