Some friends are like Slinkies... Boring, but interesting to watch when you push them down the stairs.

Suarzo, whose collection includes a gold-plated Slinky, said she once tried to enter the Slinkys into the State Fair, and while there was not category that would include her collection, organizers asked her how many of the toys she owned, which she estimated at 300 to 400. The organizers suggested the collection could be a world record.

Suarzo said she has begun counting the Slinkys -- taking video as evidence for Guinness -- and she hopes to submit the collection for a world record.

Yeah, watch it! My Mom's a native-born New Mexican, and she's nowhere near as wacky as Dad!

I was hoping the "Slinky record" was going to involve a Slinky walking down a record number of steps.
