There really was some BAD Ren and Stimpy in the middle.
Most of the early John K. and some of the later John K. material is outstanding.

I was certainly tuned in to the whole idea of B&B making fun of music videos, so that helped tip the scales.

Ren and Stimpy was great, until the 3rd season, then the MTV series and the series they tried on Spike TV. That being said I liked those first two seasons enough to vote for them over Beavis & Butthead...

I do recall the close ups of rotting teeth with visible odor fumes emanating
out of their mouths was almost enough to make a person gag.
