Brilliant album and a Top 5 Yes record for me.
No interest in 5.1 and I'm sure the bonus cuts aren't any better than the CD remaster, but for fans of the format and Wilson's work-get this.

Pete, do you really have no interest in 5.1 at all? With the right set-up and a great surround sound mix (like Wilson does every time) it's really an incredible experience to relive albums like this. Seems like something you would get really excited about.

While Relayer has never been one of my Yes favorites, this is a must buy to see what Steven Wilson can do with the material. Can Tales or Tormato be far away?

Great news, one of my fav albums of all time. The vinyl of this always sounded terrible, I'm sure this will be a great upgrade

I've always liked this album, but felt the mix was the weak-point ; so I'm very much looking forward Steve's "re-work"

I'd like to see SW do something other than Yes. HD Tracks & Warner Japan have already done the entire catalog in Hi-res. Yes, Wilson does them better; which is why I'd like to see something that others have neglected!

What's different about these Yes reissues is that these are Yes ReMIXES. HDTracks and Warner Japan are remasters, meaning the original mixes released. Steven Wilson has completed brand new stereo and surround mixes, so even if you already have the album, it's worth getting for Steven's new mix.

Great news about this reissue. I can't wait how Wilson is going to make this come alive. Patrick Moraz's only album band was a terrific one. The "air" that will be applied between the instrumentation tracks are going to allow me to hear the album I could only wish for in my dreams. I had seen YES a couple times during this tour and it sounded better because of the questionable mix of the record. That will now change!

The other two are apparently #1 albums from the 1980s.

How about Marillion & Wishbone Ash?
Both need upgrades; the Marillion 2 cd sets were some of the earliest examples of brickwalling (as was the 1 disc expanded Argus & the Ash box)
I'll definitely skip XTC, & Beat is from KC's weakest period.
I hope #1 from the 80's doesn't mean Michael Jackson & Madonna!
Probably means yet another version of 90125.

Probably means yet another version of 90125. Marillion in 5.1 (especially by Steven Wilson) would be fantastic, and I'd love to hear a few Wishbone Ash albums in that format as well. I saw speculation that one of those #1 '80s albums would be Asia's debut album. I definitely don't agree about Beat being from KC's weakest period. Those three '80s albums they did are fantastic.

If I had $20-$30k to spend, I'd definitely go 5.1. I'd rather have awesome 2.0 sound then mediocre 5.1, though.

I listened to this on vinyl for so many years in high school and the sonics were what introduced me to the possibilities of the studio and what could be accomplished by band, producer and engineer.

While this would not be my first choice for his next Yes project, I will still get it. Maybe not right away, but I will get it.
But I know realistically that Drama, if he ever does do it, will most likely be much further down the line.
I would also like to hear his take on a 5.1 Fragile, as I wasn't happy with the mix on the DVD-A that came out over a decade ago.

Fragile & the 1st live albums are the 2 truly greats Wilson hasn't done from the Yes catalog.
