Does anyone know what the difference is between the 2014 HDTracks Creedence hi res downloads & the previous batch that these superseded?

:sigh: I joined the Hoffman forum with the singular goal of asking this question. It appears my only post did not get approved (they didn't even have the courtesy to tell me "F.U.").

I've found a PARTIAL answer. The AP SACD Cosmos is a DR 13, the 2014 HDTracks is a DR 11. I am hoping for more info that that, though. (And there have actually been 3 hi-res versions of the CCR catalog, i neglected to mention the AP SACD set in my original post. I believe the AP's were 2013 & the previous HDT's were 2011).

It didn't answer my question, but I got to compare the AP SACD of Cosmos Factory VS The new HD Tracks. You won't go wrong either way, but i prefer the AP. The only 2011 I have access to is Chronicles, & to be honest I've read so many time that it's bad that I haven't played it...........

On a related note i also did a quicky comparison of the 2002 CBS SACD of Aerosmith Toys vs the 2012 HD Tracks. Despite being subjectively almost twice as loud as the CBS, I did prefer the HD Tracks.

I think i found out why I got "Gorted" at Hoffman with no explanation: Hoffman is about to release the CCR catalog on Vinyl. That's still no excuse; especially for the rudeness of no contact/explanation.

There are reasons many people don't like the audiophile community. Many (NOT ALL) of it's "members" are jerks.

That sort of attitude certainly doesn't help draw people to better sounding music.

I wish I'd bought that Aerosmith SACD back in the day.

Who knew I'd inadvertantly get an SACD player with my Blu-ray player??

:sigh:

I got the "Toys" SACD. It's the "Rocks" I have never seen. Sure love to get that one!
