Have read 3 of the 4. I never had any interest in Power Pack.

The WCA mini was a lot of fun. And that issue of X-Men was amazing. Pulse-pounding! And such a tragic end.

I had (maybe still do) that issue of "West Coast Avengers." For a time that was one of my favorite titles.

That is a good X-Men issue.

I never read that Spec Spidey, but I had the previous one, which ends with the blurb, "Next issue ... The Answer!"

I had the X-men and WCA, but I couldn't begin to tell you what happened in them.

Had the X-Men, Power Pack, and West Coast Avengers. Only really remember the WCA issue.

+1

I recall the Spider-Man issue, but although I know I've read the others, I can't actually remember what happened in them.

Read them all. That Milgrom run on PPTSSM was a fun one.

I love mohawk Storm, but overall this was the lowest point of Claremont's run on Uncanny X-Men with him obviously grasping around for ideas and being stuck with the JRjr and Dan Green as the art team. It wasn't until he decided to replace Kitty, Colossus and Nightcrawler with Havok, Dazzler, Psylocke, and Longshot that the book became fresh again.

"Being stuck"? Claremont did not care for them?

Just an expression. I'm sure Claremont liked them or they wouldn't have been there for three excruciating years.

I had to wait too long for my Silvestri.

There's a reason why Marvel has not reprinted JRjr's run on Uncanny. BECAUSE IT SUCKED.

Actually, I think Claremont does agree with you, Flame. He's never spoken all that fondly of the JRJr/Green years.

The most memorable X-Men stuff of that time period lay outside the regular series. You had the Seinkiewicz New Mutants, the X-Men/Teen Titans crossover, Frank Miller's Wolverine, and basically every annual of that period was a thing of beauty (with all that Art Adams and early Alan Davis art).

Still, there was great stuff sprinkled in with a bunch of junk. Kulan Gath, Nimrod, and Storm's punk phase were favorites of mine.

I think we can all be grateful that Marvel and Bob Harras saw sense eventually to redeem the X-Men by putting Scott Lobdell on the book......
