Provides lots of info in many areas, some of it already known but worthwhile.

This one shows how much profit goes away when you have printed comics.

Boy, that's a pretty generic thread title...

Interesting stuff. Yeah, I pretty much assumed an indie comic that isn't a hit was basically a hobby.

I suppose. But I like to think that it can be more than a hobby. Especially if you are going to draw a comic.

Kind of. I still think of myself more as an artist or comic artist even though I make my living working for the man.

I've killed plenty of people for money, but I still think of it more as a hobby.

Yes. I think of myself as a creative even though I work in the geek analytical field for the man. It always shocks colleagues when I tell them I'm into art, music, and photography, and don't give a shit about computers. :) I think if you are passionate enough about something you will do it no matter the financial gain (or lack of). Because you HAVE to.

I think an undertaking involves burying people.

Producing indie comics sounds like more of an avocation.

We had the good fortune to hire somebody like that at our library. She's done great things for us in children's services.

I think of a hobby as an ongoing activity not done for money, but for some sort of personal satisfaction.

If the work isn't done for work or to get work, I personally categorize it as a hobby.

Only if you do it in a leisure suit.
