The New Pornographers have announced Brill Bruisers, their first album since 2010's Together. It's out August 26 via Matador. And, yes, Neko Case and Dan Bejar are on the album, along with A.C. Newman, Blaine Thurier, John Collins, Kathryn Calder, Kurt Dahle, and Todd Fancey.

"This is a celebration record," Newman said in a press release. "After periods of difficulty, I am at a place where nothing in my life is dragging me down and the music reflects that." The record was produced by Newman and Collins, and mainly recorded at Little Blue in Woodstock, NY and JC/DC Studios in Vancouver.

I hope this one is better than Together. I thought that album sounded rushed & production was kind of sloppy. I'll be looking forward to hearing tracks from the new one before deciding to purchase.
