unbelievably lovely news that might actually be making me a bit discernibly turgid.
as a precursor to remasters/reissues of the 3 studio outings with the remaining b-sides and rarities, (e.g. the instrumental of "please, please, please let me get what i want" from the movie and UNreleased o.s.t. to "ferris bueller's day off") would be a godsend!

Living on the edge.
This looks rather sparse for a 2-CD set.

if i had my druthers, i'd have skipped the anthology (which IS largely superfluous), and just put the new track(s), old, and b-sides all onto 3 remastered releases. BUT... to get those few new songs, i will buy this.

I like your idea of a comprehensive three-CD collection. Heck, I'd even include "Sunchyme" by Dario G, a dance track which included prominent sampling of "Life In A Northern Town"
In the meantime, it's good to see something like this coming out. The Dream Academy had a big hit single, but they never seemed to have the cult following of Prefab Sprout, a group with a similar sound and aesthetic. Maybe this release will get folks to reassess the group.
