One too few . . .
Is anyone planning on watching this new show? I just watched the premier early (streaming), and it looks pretty promising. It's a Victorian era monster-mash-up, with high production values. Dracula, Frankenstein, that sort of thing.
The cast is top rate -- Timothy Dalton, Eva Green, Josh Hartnett. Josh Hartnett plays a "Wild Bill" type sharpshooter from travelling show who joins up with this mysterious group searching to uncover occult mysteries about the disappearance of Dalton's daughter.

Watched it but eh. Not sure if I'll continue. Seems like John Logan, the creator, just wants to take the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and stretch it out, add a few characters. Lot of derivative and cliched stuff in there. A shame because they do have some big names in there.

They had the first ep On Demand and have been/will be showing it for two weeks before they air the second ep as I guess they want to make sure everyone gets a chance to see it.

Watched it this evening On Demand. It was a bit predictable at points (did anyone not see what was coming with the body when the lights went out in the last 5 minutes?) but it has potential. I'll give it a few weeks based on the cast.

Watched it; thought it was okay, and worth checking out a couple more episodes to see which direction they go. I just kind of which they had gone with a little bit more creeping dread than the more blatant horror monster tropes. I think it would have helped if Harnett's character had been a bit more disbelieving of the world behind the curtain. When so much of what they are likely to include in upcoming weeks can be guessed at, it's the execution and characterization that becomes much more important.

Well, that can't be held against you.
That's actually how I feel whenever Josh Hartnett is on the screen.
Had to search the name... I feel your pain to a degree, but only when he looks "scruffy" (cleaned up, he looks like a boy-band candidate). I'm all about Benedict Cumberbatch now (I gave up on Angelina Jolie).

what I thought was particularly weak and odd at the same time was the initial conversation between Eva Green's and Hartnett's characters. Almost stolen right out of Casino Royale and considering it's the same actress, I found that really weird.
