I'm not at a computer, maybe someone can post the link and a photo of the new box, it is gorgeous. Only a few left.

A deluxe 4 CD box set on ToneFloat collecting many Bass Communion rarities, most of which were previously only released on vinyl. Each disc comes in its own mini LP sleeve, collectively housed in a hardback slipcase box, with a 60 page booklet, all designed by Carl Glover, who has created all of the sleeve artwork for Bass Communion over the years. The set contains over 4 hours of music in total.

CD1 contains the Vajrayana 7 inch single from 2004, the Indicates Void vinyl LP from 2005, plus the bonus track from side 4 of the vinyl edition of Ghosts on Magnetic Tape. The 2 tracks from Vajrayana are full length versions that were previously edited down for the single.

CD2 is a reissue of the Pacific Codex album recorded in 2006. Originally also planned as a vinyl release, the extreme low frequencies and near silent passages in the piece proved problematic, so it was eventually released on CD by Equation Records in a very limited edition in 2008.

CD3 collects 5 remixes done for Darkroom, Use of Ashes, Theo Travis, Andrew Liles and Pyramids, most of which make their first appearance on CD. The Theo Travis remix is a previously unused version. Bass Communion remixes are usually complete reconstructions, taking a few sounds from the original piece and using them as the basis to create completely fresh works.

CD4 collects the Litany 12 inch single from 2009, a remix for Three Seconds of Air previously only released on vinyl, and an unreleased work called Temporal, recorded in 2012 using only the sounds of clocks and other time-keeping devices as a sound source (an homage to Harrison Birtwistle’s 1971 piece Chronometer, which used the same approach). An edited version of it was heard in quadrophonic sound as the introduction to The Watchmaker on the recent SW band tour.

It's stated on a different page on Wilson's website that it is a limited run of 2000. Cost is 35 GBP. Probably runs about 70 USD for North American customers when shipping is added in.

Could not figure out how to link a picture of the box. Sorry.

Thanks! Isn't it gorgeous. Bought the IEM box last month and now this! Good times for Steven Wilson/ Porcupine Tree fans. Music contained on this box was used as pre-music at his solo shows last year.

And I will see Steve with Blackfield on May 1st in NYC!!

I passed. Was tempted but 13.50 GBP for insured shipping? Pushed the pricetag to $81.50 and frankly the trance thing isn't my favorite (despite it being Steven Wilson and I do like much of what he termed "trance" on the Up The Downstair album).

I searched for about a year for a reasonably priced copy of his surround mix of Pacific Codex which of course is included in this box in CD form.

Hypnotic would be the word. Great background music or at least late night trippy music. Kind of music you need to sit back in a dark room very late at night and let the music surround you (kinda like Tangerine Dream).
In fact when I was a kid in Queens I would lay back in bed at night, put on my KOSS Pro headphones (bought at a hi-end shop in NYC) and listen to Tangerine Dream. This is where my love for surround sound began.
I also bought that Tangerine Dream album (Alpha Centauri/ Atem) at a record store in NYC on a shopping trip when I was just 16.
Turned on to them because of the Night Bird.

Mine has shipped as well. Alas, I also double ordered the most recent Yes blu ray, having forgotten I had ordered it from burning shed and getting another copy in the interim. Anyone need a copy of the Yes 5.1 Stephen Wilson remixed blu ray?

Got my mini-box today from Burning Shed and it is a beauty. Looks just like the pic above. It's not a large style box but a CD sized cardboard box with the discs inside their own sleeves.

A pic of the Bass Communion box compared to the Fish box and the ELP box. I love boxes! :D
