Two possibilities apparently - one is a remake of his 1996 movie soundtrack La Passione which he was not happy with.
Second possible release is both the soundtrack and another new album studion album simultaneously.

TBH, his recent output has left me underwhelmed. Santo Spirito in particular seemed to be a vanity project with a sub-par album tacked on to give it some chance of selling. Rea is a prolific writer but seems to have lost a sense of quality control. it's fine to release what you want, free from record company interference - but that doesn't excuse some of what he has released. I still live in hope though!
